Students' Association setting up Emergency Food Room

In response to the overwhelming number of students seeking assistance through the College foodbank the Students’ Association is setting up an emergency food room. Starting tSeptember 22nd  the Students’ Association will start collecting  non-perishable food items. These food items will be distributed to students that have been affected by funding delays.

“We have seen more than 150 students already this month and we simply can’t keep up with the demand for assistance,” says Cherie Sawaryn, General Manager of the Students’ Association. “Setting up an emergency food room will allow us to stretch the funds we have available and assist students who have already seen  us for help but who have still not received funding.”

We still have at least 600 students that are waiting for funding to be processed. This is an immediate and urgent need.

Please bring donated items to the Students’ Association’s office (A121) between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
