Walking is something we do every day. Did you know ParticipACTION suggests healthy adults take at least 10,000 steps a day? However, the average adult only takes 5,000. In order to get the recommended 10,000, Shine is asking you a very important question...

Can You Commit to Walking 10,000 Steps a Day for Two Weeks?

If you are up for the challenge or want to challenge a classmate you have choices for how you’d like to get involved.

  • Register as an individual to compete for the individual prize
  • Register as a team to compete for the team prize
  • Register as an individual and as a team member and the chance to win both prizes

Challenge Period: October 24 – November 4

  • $10 for Students –

  • Each participant records their own steps even if you are part of a team be sure to note your team name on your 10,000 Steps Challenge Record Form, if applicable.
  • Upon completion of the challenge, submit your 10,000 Steps Challenge Record Form to a Cashier in the Office of the Registrar Main Floor, Edmonton Downtown Campus, Main Building by November 10.
